From a newly launched baseball cap for those with stubborn beautiful curls to Natalie Portman and Emma Stone being both spotted sporting new but “vintage” hairdo’s, we’ve listed the top six hairstyle news that you might have missed out his week. Whichever of these styles suit your fancy, remember that there’s nothing a reliable hairstyling tool could not achieve.

The Marge Simpson of Russia

A month will not pass without a Twitter user discovering Russian Senator Valentina Petrenko’s extraordinary hairstyle. Her Marge Simpson-inspired hairdo never fails to go viral again and again since 2015. Netizens have only one question each time a picture of her hair gets the attention online: is she wearing a wig? This, despite the senator having set the record straight the very first time her photo has emerged online internationally.

“I have a curly hair. I just lift it upwards with several hairpins, that’s all,” she said in an interview in 2015.

The Baseball Cap for Curly-headed Girls

Blogger and model Laticia Rolle has launched the Tress Cap, a baseball hat specifically designed for curly hair. Her difficulty dealing with her own curly hair has inspired her to design the product.

Tress cap is designed with black vegan leather with a high crown to contain curls for those days when women opted to just wash and wear. It has a satin lining and garterize edges for women with curly hair to be always on the go, without worrying how to tame their locks. The cap can be worn the whole day without having to worry about the “hat-hair.”

Mullet Still a Thing in Australia

The mullet, a hairstyle popular among rock stars during the 70’s, is said to have its roots from Kurri Kurri, a small mining town west of Newcastle, Australia. The town recently held its Mulletfest 2018 by calling on everyone who still wears the hairstyle at present. A total of 150 people joined the festival but the “Best Mullet of All” award was given to Shane Shag Hanrahan. The man had been maintaining his mullet since 1989.

“Meet Me At Mc Donald Haircut” is a thing in UK

A haircut called “Meet Me At Mc Donald Haircut” has been famous nowadays among teens in UK. However, a school in Great Yarmouth decided to ban the haircut because the school management deemed it extreme for young boys.

Barber Elliot Branford told a local newspaper that many teenager boys were requesting for the haircut. The barber described the hairstyle as: “A grade zero or a one on the sides, then disconnected with a perm or curly on the top and you have it sitting forwards.”

Emma Stone and The Perm

Vogue has spotted Emma Stone with a new but vintage hairdo in the night that leads up to the Oscar’s. According to the magazine, she had her “newly-minted, tightly wound-curls off to one side.”

Natalie Portman in her Shortest Haircut in 10 Years

InStyle reported that Natalie Portman has cut her hair to its shortest she had in ten years. She was seen with a new pixie hairstyle while filming in New York. As understood, her short hair was a requirement for her role as a musician named Celeste.
